Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no specific rules on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
